Cooking & Nutrition

Healthy eating should be delicious

That’s my philosophy. I love good food and am passionate about healthy dishes that are packed with flavor, can be prepared in less than thirty minutes and don't require the kitchen skills of Mario Batali. Along with my friend and Aspen-based integrated medicine physician Christina Miller, M.D., I give fun, interactive cooking demos and cooking classes that highlight plant-based meal ideas. Get a group of your friends together—for a dinner party, birthday celebration, girls’ night in, fundraiser or any other type of event--and let's all get cooking!

Aspen Meatless Monday Events

In 2011, Dawn Shepard founded the Aspen chapter of Meatless Monday, a global movement focused on reducing meat consumption in order to make the planet healthier. Going meatless one day a week can lower your risk of many types of disease, increase your longevity and help the environment by reducing greenhouse gases and conserving water. The Aspen Meatless Monday chapter explores the benefits of plant-based eating through a variety of events, including cooking demos, speakers and group dinners in private homes and Aspen area restaurants.
