Well-Being
Along with physical activity and nutrition a sense of connection is critical to health and well-being. Feeling a real sense of connection to your inner self, other people and the divine not only help us live longer but more importantly to live better.
“Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Appreciate your friends. Continue to learn. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.” —Mary Anne Radmach
- Be of service. Volunteer and/or give money to a cause or causes you really believe in.
- Be kind to people you come in to contact with everyday. The person who takes your money at the store, to the person trying to merge into your lane during rush hour.
- Write down your goals. Don’t over think it, just write down what you really want and then take action every day toward your goals.
- Tell people how much you really appreciate them. This is such a huge gift for you and them.
- Spend time in nature. Get outside for a few minutes everyday. If you live in a city, grow some plants and keep them in your apartment.
- Focus on inspiration. Surround yourself with people you admire, break away from negative people, read books with a positive message and think twice about what you watch on TV and in the movies.
- Go after things you want and really believe in even if it scares you. “Jump and the net will appear” —Julie Cameron
